The Government Is Wrong About This

Don’t worry I’m not about to start sharing all the latest conspiracy theories…

I’m also not here to discuss the subject of climate change.

But reducing sunlight.

That’s just madness.

Again, I’m not here to discuss the effects this may or may not have on the
environment.

But I am here to talk about your physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Now we all know that there are proven dangers of getting too much sun.

But a healthy balance of sun on your skin and absorbed via your eyes.

Well, that’s a superpower for your health and wellbeing.

The science shows that sunlight offers numerous physical and mental health benefits
when enjoyed in moderation.

These include: –

Vitamin D Production

Sunlight helps the skin produce vitamin D, which supports bone health, immune
function, and mood regulation.

Improved Mood

Exposure to sunlight increases serotonin levels in the brain, helping to reduce
symptoms of depression, anxiety, and seasonal affective disorder (SAD).

Better Sleep

Sunlight helps regulate your circadian rhythm, leading to better sleep quality and
deeper rest.

Boosted Immune System

Adequate vitamin D from sunlight can enhance the immune system, helping the body
fight infections and inflammation.

Skin Health (in small doses)

Controlled sunlight exposure may help with certain skin conditions like psoriasis,
eczema, and acne.

Lower Blood Pressure

Sunlight exposure can trigger nitric oxide release in the skin, which may help lower
blood pressure and support heart health.

Enhanced Cognitive Function

Regular sunlight exposure is linked to improved focus, alertness, and even brain
health in older adults.

As I mentioned earlier this is backed by science such as this study here, and many
many more.

So today.

Get yourself outside on your lunch break and take a walk.

Get some fresh air.

And a bit of sun on your skin.

Your mind and body will thank you for it.

Always remember however, especially those from the world of the ‘eggshell blonde’
hairstyle like good old Mr Moylan.

Wear a hat…!!!
